Bailey interviews Paulina Walas, an artist from Czestochowa, Poland working with painting, collage, community, and who cares deeply about the environment. Paulina studied Painting in Poland and currently works as an intern facilitating residencies at the Fish Factory Creative Center in Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland.
Paulina discusses her approach to material, process, and editing. She has been traveling and painting murals for almost two years straight in France, Italy, The Balkans, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia through Work Away.
Upon traveling to Iceland where she has lived for six months, environmental conservation became very important to her lifestyle and a large influence in her art practice. She’s now working on ways to support conservation movements with her visual skills
